HBCU 4 LIFE – Let’s Make an Impact!
September 5 - October 5
The Pasadena/Altadena Ivy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to funding programs that align with our mission and purpose. Building stronger leaders and communities are at the core of our work. You can help advance the mission of PAIF by making a tax-deductible donation today.
Education is essential to lifelong success. Black Americans were historically denied access to higher education in white institutions. In order to overcome this problem, we founded our own colleges that are now known as Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs).
Recognizing that HBCU funding is one of the primary obstacles that threaten the long-term growth and survival of HBCUs, members will be encouraged to financially support HBCUs. At the International level Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. has implemented an AKA HBCU Endowment Initiative in partnership with the Educational Advancement Foundation (EAF) that will endow a scholarship at each accredited four-year HBCU. The goal is to stamp the Alpha Kappa Alpha brand of financial support on each HBCU campus to help students remain in school, complete their course of study, and receive their college degrees.
In order to support this endeavor, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. – Pasadena Chapter is partnering with the Pasadena/Altadena Ivy Foundation to raise funds. We have a goal of a minimum of $1000 to support this cause. Please help us to achieve this objective by making a donation.
