Please join us for our Scholarship Jazz Brunch: Leaders of Tomorrow, Champions of Change, and party with a purpose! Your ticket purchase provides scholarships to students in need in the San Gabriel Valley and support Programs that make a difference in our community.

Since its chartering in 1960, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated - Pasadena Chapter has provided scholarships to college bound seniors. In 2015, the chapter started partnering with the Pasadena/ Altadena Ivy Foundation to have a greater impact from both a program and scholarship perspective.

The organizations have awarded over $350,000 dollars in scholarship since inception and continue to make an impact in the community through programs like the Childhood Hunger Initiative (CHIPP) that provides health Power Pack snacks to the Pasadena Boys and Girls Club on a weekly basis. They also sponsor the Annual Career STEAMposium, support a Young Authors Reading Program, provide women's hygiene supplies to a women's shelter and much more in the community.

This year’s event, Leaders of Tomorrow, Champions of Change, will award college bound seniors from the San Gabriel Valley and honor champions or our community. After recognizing our awardees, we will enjoy the soulful sounds of J Boykin and his band playing contemporary jazz and R&B hits that will keep you on the dance floor.
