The Pasadena/Altadena Ivy Foundation in Partnership with the Pasadena Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. supports the community through programs that help close disparity gaps.
Some of these Programs are:
- Annual Backpack Giveaway at Asm Chris Holden's Annual Blockparty delivers over 200 backpacks to underserved students.
- MLK Day of Service where Union Station Homeless Shelter receives food, diapers, clothing and blankets.
- Annual Career STEAMposium exposes middle school to community college students to professionals and opportunities in STEAM.
- Financial Literacy Workshops to help educate adults and students on how to manage money and create wealth.
- Scholars Chat helps students learn how to successfully complete award-winning Scholarship Applications at John Muir and Pasadena High Schools.
