The 8^th Annual Career STEAMposium will take place on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM.  This FREE event will take place at Pasadena City College located at 1570 E. Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA.  The theme for this year’s event is Build Your Future on STEAM.

STEAM pervades every part of our lives and career opportunities in these areas are growing by about 14% per year.  In order to be gainfully employed, it is important to have skills that people are willing to pay to gain access to.  STEAM professions are the jobs of today and the future.  Many high paying jobs in these areas continue to go unfilled because there is a gap between workforce skillsets and job requirements.  If we want to close this gap, we need to encourage our future workforce to pursue careers of the future which are in STEAM.

• The Career STEAMposium event focuses on exposing students from Middle School through College to working Professionals that are currently in careers in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math)
• This objective is accomplished through Workshops, Hands-On Activities and Networking. The event coordinators also provide breakfast, lunch and SWAG Bag Gifts to attendees
• The event will have multiple speakers who will be speaking on topics of STEAM sharing the hurdles and challenges that they faced in their professions
• Our Hands-On Activities include Robotics teams, a (student led) Formula SAE Race Car Team, Baja Race Car Team, Cal Poly Rose Float Team, STEAM Trailer  and more
• The Goal is to Expose our audience to things they would not see in the classroom, Demystify the science behind it, and Engage them in a learning experience that they will never forget!
