The Pasadena/Altadena Ivy Foundation is partnering with the Pasadena/Altadena Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to support Assemblymember Chris Holden’s 18th Annual Community Resources Block Party that is taking place on Saturday, 8/5/17 from 11 AM - 3 PM.
The purpose of the block party is to get information out to the community in an exciting and family friendly way. With this event taking place two weeks prior to school starting, these organizations feel that it would be a great time to make a difference in the community by giving away over 100 backpacks that will be filled with school supplies targeted for elementary and secondary school students. Many of the recipients will be low income and need this additional helping hand in order to get their kids ready for school.
